  1. It's one cool looking gun there David. I do have some concerns regarding the legality of it in ohio and hope that those get cleared up real soon once and for all.
  2. Hinderer custom awesomeness!

Those are some real nice looking blades Chris. That MP-1 I just googled looked to be of the highest quality and checking out their website it looks like these guys make nothing but high quality blades and other tactical gear. Im thinking of checking one of their blades to replace my SOG I just broke not to long ago.
  3. OHGO 2017 Summer Updates

When will we have some more info on the clubs? I'm going to move my MeWe group here. Thanks for implementing that.

  5. Ammo prices are about as volatile as gas prices these days with wide sweeping changes in prices overnight. When you find those killer deals that have you wanting to buy 1,000 rounds for a fraction of the cost you usually pay, you'll want to stockpile as much as you can of it. The better conditions you store your ammo in, the longer it will last. Granted in the digital age, deals like those come and go with the breeze, but one thing you can never be sure of is ammo supply overall. Not to long ago there was such a shortage of .22 ammo it was almost 5x its normal price and you still wouldn't be able to find it anywhere! So when you decide to stock up on ammo, you'll want to make sure you can keep that ammo safe and usable for when the time comes. Tip Numero Uno: Avoid Extreme Temperatures Keeping your ammo away from extreme temperatures until its time to use it is essential to it having a long shelf life. While ammo is designed to be used in just about any environment reliably it should not be stored in those harsh conditions. You can expect to get at least 10 years shelf life out of even the most mediocre of ammo brands. One area to be particularly concerned with as summer rolls around is storing your ammo in your vehicle. High heat has been shown to rapidly degrade the ammunition. Tip #2: Keep it Dry I am fairly certain I do not need to elaborate on this, but keeping your ammo dry is essential to it going bang when you need it to. The lower the humidity the better you will be in the long run with ammo storage. Humidity causes the corrosion to the brass casing, which can lead to failures pretty quick, which can be dangerous. After recently asking in the community, some members recommended storing the ammo in their original cardboard boxes to help suck up some of that moisture from the air. Not a bad tip at all. Tip #3: Keep The Air Out My final tip for properly storing your ammo is to keep the air out completely. We have all seen those air tight spam cans that look 50 years old, and you crack it open to find everything as good as new. Load a few rounds up and it still goes bang every single time. This is because those air tight containers also keep the moisture out! One of the leading causes of failure in ammo is when it starts to get old, chemicals are breaking down. Using these tips will help preserve that chemical mixture and allow your ammo to be usable for decades!
  6. I have not had a chance to look at the bill. What would this mean to current holders of the CHL?
  7. Ideas for more activity

Hey @David are you open to suggestions for some ways to get more activity around here? It seems its days between posts :-\ I like checking back often but man I dont know how many more times I can visit and see it just sitting. I do like this place over MeWe groups but it seems people prefer to be broken in to groups for some reason. I have a few ideas like adding some features similar to facebook/mewe where things are in little groups. Perhaps adding some variety or more forums to discuss things. Or even better what about removing all the forums completely and just having one big feed of things even. That'd probably work the best. I have some more ideas too. Just wanted to see if you were open to some fresh ideas first.
  8. How is everyone storing their ammo?

I was thinking of writing about how I store my ammo and my experience with it, but before I do I am just wondering what everyone is using and how they're storing their ammunition.
  9. [Article] - Basic Self Defense Moves For Everyone

Just remember when in doubt kick the groin!
  10. I'm just trying to get some feedback about the recent change that occurred in Ohio with being able to purchase firearms and not fill out forms or wait for background checks provided you have a valid CCW issused that is NCIS compliant. I know Rural King won't let you purchase with just a CCW and neither does my local FFL guy even though we've been doing business 5+ years.
  11. Did gun sales die with Trump being elected?

Im not real sure, but it seems like the private market has slowed down considerably the last few months.
  12. Looks like the battle is underway to get rid of another Ohio CCW short comings, getting rid of the duty to notify law enforcement. Not many other states have this requirement and it doesn't really do much to help in my opinion. Not only that it seems there was never any clearly defined timeline for what is prompt, and it even caused an Canton/Akron police officer to come unhinged one day if anyone remembers that. I'll try to find the video
  13. Crossfire Ammunition (Made in Ohio)

From what I recall its pretty good stuff. The frangible or "tactical grenade" ammo was pretty destructive to the things that were shot by it. The 9mm ammo makes for a good self defense round, just make sure you get the faster stuff the guy makes. He claims it goes through windshields and car doors, etc. We ran out before we could test that claim, but from the other things we shot I don't exactly doubt it.
  14. Terrorist Attack at Ohio State University Today

Sorry for not getting here to post about this sooner it has been a crazy day to say the least. This is the direct result of "open borders" and letting anyone in who claims refuge. Make sure to send your thanks to the fantastic govenor John Kasich and main stream media for this one.. This guy just came to Columbus not long ago, and was even featured in the student newspaper here. Absolutely horrific. Its hard to defend these people any more, and yes by that I mean muslims, so take it for what its worth but its time we stop allowing American citizens and especially our fellow Ohioans become victims of political correctness and this bullshit we're currently caught up in. As freshly terrible and sad as it is, we need to use it to drive campus concealed carry in to law. CLEARLY THIS ISNT A GUN PROBLEM AND NOW WITH THESE MASS KNIFE/CAR ATTACKS WHAT IS THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA GOING TO USE TO PUSH GUN CONTROL??! STAY VIGILANT OUT THERE MY FRIENDS THIS COULD BE ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME!!!
